Having missed numerous deadlines for the rollout of Android Wear 2.0 - which was originally announced by Google 14 months ago - ASUS has finally released the update for the ZenWatch 3.

After a months-long development delay, Android Wear 2.0 was supposed to reach all eligible devices earlier this year. But following several missed deadlines, ZenWatch 2 and 3 owners are still waiting.
ASUS tweeted yesterday that its Android Wear 2.0 rollout for the ZenWatch 3 had begun. But it has since deleted that tweet, and clarified that the rollout won't start until "the end of the month".
Android Wear 2.0 was delayed for months, but in February, Google announced its rollout for eligible devices "in the coming weeks". It now says the update won't reach some devices until "late May".
Google announced details of its Android Wear 2.0 launch today, including a complete list of all of the existing devices that will be eligible to upgrade to the new version "in the coming weeks".
