Take-Two Interactive Software's new Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Lapin will receive a $650,000 salary and bonuses worth approximately $600,000 per year. The royalties for Take-Two's new main man were disclosed in a filing with the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission.
Lapin replaces Kelly Sumner as of January 2, 2003. Sumner will assume the position of president of the company's PC publishing division. Lapin is the former Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of THQ, Inc.
Take-Two is the creator of some of this year's most popular games -- Conflict: Desert Storm, GTA: Vice City, Mafia, to name a few -- and is currently developing Duke Nukem Forever.
