Just days after Telltale Games announced The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's third episode, they are back with another announcement. This time, with the release date for the first episode of their upcoming Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game, along with some extra information.
The curiously titled first episode, Tangled Up in Blue, will receive its first trailer this Thursday. But, today's announcement does come with some new artwork. One of them, seen above, shows the Guardians going up against Thanos himself, one of the biggest heavy hitters of the Marvel universe. It joins the artwork that was released with the previous announcement of the game that the developers made earlier this month.
The game is sticking to Telltale's familiar five episode formula, with the first episode releasing April 18. It will be available digitally for $4.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. Alternatively, you can purchase the game's digital season pass, which is yet to get a price tag, but generally tends to be cheaper than buying each episode individually as they become available.
Furthermore, a physical disk version of the season pass is also in the works. This edition will launch in North America on May 2, followed by a worldwide release on May 5. The latter will coincide with the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 movie's premiere in theaters.
