It was late last year that Telltale Games unveiled the trailer for its next episodic adventure, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. Unfortunately, the trailer didn't show much, but now the developer has revealed new screenshots and a bit of the story behind the title.
According to Telltale:
In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.
From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, you wear the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, where your decisions and actions drive the story you experience.
If you are attending PAX East this year, Telltale devs and Marvel Games Creative Director, Bill Rosemann will be on hand to talk more about the game and the creative process behind making it. The panel will start at 6 pm and will be located at the Albatross Theatre. For those that will be attending SXSW, you will be in for a unique treat, as an early version of the first episode will be played using Crowd Play at the Paramount Theater.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will arrive digitally on the PC, consoles, and mobile devices in the spring. There are also plans to bring a physical version to retail locations that will include the first episode and also a season pass that will allow the download of the remaining four episodes.
