The Humble Store is commencing its 'End of Summer Sale' today, and the store is taking this opportunity to give away a game for the low, low price of free. The game in question is Telltale Games' highly acclaimed first season of The Walking Dead series from 2012.
We have had numerous Walking Dead sequels over the years, with the fourth and final season of the series set to arrive in 2018. However, the original's quality storyline certainly set the bar quite high, which many fans still believe to be the best Walking Dead game Telltale has ever produced.
The game takes place across five episodes in Georgia, with the player taking the role of Lee Everett, a convicted criminal trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. Player decisions play a factor in the storyline, with repercussions that may only appear in later episodes. Dealing with the zombie apocalypse may be the easiest thing to accomplish in the game, compared to the human problems.
Normally available for $24.99, The Walking Dead Season 1 is now free to claim on its Humble Store page for the next two days, which will provide a key redeemable on Steam. This could serve as a great opportunity for anyone interested in the series to dive in and check it out.
