Telltale Games has finally offered a first look at its highly anticipated game, "The Walking Dead" season three. The teaser trailer for the game doesn't give away much in terms of the story but viewers do get to see a teenage Clementine; a protagonist who has appeared in earlier seasons of Telltale's The Walking Dead, as well as a new playable character, Javier.
Javier hasn't appeared neither in the earlier games, nor Robert Kirkman's graphic novels nor AMC's hit TV show. Telltale had the following to say about the new character:
So what CAN we say about this upcoming season? For a start, who's that guy with Clementine? His name is Javier. Yes, Clem returns and will play a key role, but this is a new story as much as it is a continuation of Seasons One and Two. Players completely new to the Telltale series will be able to jump right in without feeling lost at all, and those familiar with previous seasons will perhaps find some even deeper meaning, as we'll be working to ensure save file decisions will carry over from the last two games if you've played them in the past.
The company also went on to describe that Clementine went through a lot after her perilous journey in season two, so her character has evolved since players last saw her. Telltale Games also stated that players will be able to play as both Clementine and Javier in the game, however, exact details regarding gameplay haven't been revealed as of yet.
Telltale Games' The Walking Dead has been extremely popular ever since its debut. The series follows a choice-based narrative style of gameplay with minimalistic graphics where any decision a player makes during the game may impact future events in the game. While details regarding availability on PCs and consoles haven't been revealed as of yet, Telltale's The Walking Dead season three premieres this fall.
