Today, Alcatel announced that its bringing the 3V to the United States next week, promising one of the best feature-sets for its price tag of $149.99. The handset is unlocked for GSM networks.
The handset includes an 18:9 6-inch display with a 1080p resolution, with a "near bezel-less design". It also includes a dual 12MP+2MP rear camera, along with a 5MP front shooter that has a flash. On top of that, there's a fingerprint sensor on the back, and it also supports facial recognition for an additional biometric factor.
It also includes a 1.45GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8735A chipset, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Battery life should be pretty good too, with a 3,000mAh battery.
The Alcatel 3V was first announced at Mobile World Congress back in February, with a price of €189.99, or around $233 USD (at the time - it's about $224 now). For the price of $149.99, it's certainly a bargain, competing with other value handsets like the Honor 7X.
The Alcatel 3V will be coming to Amazon next week, and will show up in Walmart and Best Buy in the coming weeks.
