The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of standalone horror games. Their next game Little Hope will be the second in this anthology after the first game of the series Man of Medan. Little Hope is developed by Supermassive Games, the same developer as Until Dawn.
The Dark Pictures released a new trailer for Little Hope today. According to the game’s website, Little Hope follows 4 college students and their teacher when they are abandoned in the isolated town of Little Hope. While they search for a way out, they’re plagued by visions of the past. These visions of the past, as shown from the new trailer, appear to be from the 17th century Salem witch trials.
All five of the main characters will be playable, and their endings based on the player’s choices. It is also confirmed that Little Hope will have multiplayer options, with either 2 players online, or up to 5 players offline. A solo story is also available.
Little Hope will be independent from Man of Medan with a whole new setting, cast of characters, and story. The launch date is set to be in 2020 on Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
