Nintendo's hybrid console, the Switch, has achieved plenty of success around the world, having recently surpassed 60 million units sold worldwide in roughly three years and four months. With that in mind, it's easy to forget that the console isn't available in some countries. For example, it was only last year that it launched in China thanks to a partnership with Tencent.
The system isn't officially available in most South America countries, but today, Nintendo of America announced on Twitter that it's bringing the hybrid to the Brazilian market.
Nintendo does have an official Brazilian website, and it does sell games digitally there, but getting your hands on the console itself was a lot harder. Having to import it from other countries means the system is more expensive, relatively speaking, than in other countries. Today's announcement should be good news for Brazilian customers wanting to get their hands on a Switch for a more reasonable price.
That is, depending on the official launch price of the console, which Nintendo isn't revealing just yet. We also don't have a solid release date right now, but fans in Brazil can stay tuned to Nintendo's Facebook or Instagram pages in Brazil to learn more in the near future.
