The Nokia 2 V is now available in the United States

A few days ago we reported that Nokia would be reintroducing its smartphones through carriers in the United States. Now, as promised, the Nokia 2 V has been made available from Verizon.

The Nokia 2 V isn't the most powerful phone in its lineup, but the company had to start somewhere, and offering up something affordable seems like a great first step. The handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 425 processor and has 1GB RAM. The model will have 8GB of internal storage with expansion up to 32GB via its microSD card slot.

It will have a 5.5-inch 720p display and will make use of a large 4,000mAh battery. As far as cameras go, the rear will make use of an 8MP sensor, while the front will have a 5MP sensor. The phone will have GPS, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and will make use of two front firing speakers for stereo sound. Data and charging will be through its Micro-USB port.

If interested, you can head to the Verizon website, where the Nokia 2 V is being sold as a prepaid model for $69.99.
