The UK Microsoft Store is out of Lumia 950 XL stock, but you can get one elsewhere for £290

Last month, the Microsoft Store depleted the last of its Lumia 950 and 950 XL stock in the UK. Last week, it ran out of stock of the Lumia 550 and 650 too, which means that Microsoft's entire range of Lumia Windows 10 Mobile handsets is no longer available direct from the company.

But while the Microsoft Store is out of stock, those devices are still available in limited quantities from other retailers, which are now selling off the last of their supplies as the phones reach the end of their retail lives. Many of these retailers are charging far more for the handsets than Microsoft was, but if you shop around, you may be able to find a good deal.

One such deal is now available on the flagship Lumia 950 XL, which is currently available from Ebuyer.com for £290.99 - just £1 more than the Microsoft Store price before it sold out. The handset is only available in white, and doesn't include the free Display Dock that Microsoft previously offered, but you can still buy the Dock from Ebuyer for £59.99, or even less from other retailers such as Amazon.

Few companies are selling the Lumia 950 XL for such a low price. Expansys, for example, is offering the device for £319.99, and it's one of the few Windows phones available there which isn't listed as having been "discontinued". Meanwhile, Carphone Warehouse is charging an astonishing £479.99 for the 950 XL, despite having cut its price to £399.99 in January, and then to £359.99 in July.

Of course, that's the power of supply and demand, and with dwindling supplies of the Lumia 950 XL, some retailers will seize the opportunity to charge more for those UK buyers keen to purchase one of the few remaining units.
