The 10 GB pre-load for The Enhanced Edition of the PC version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has begun today. The download is available directly from thewitcher.com site right now and contains most of the files you will need to get up and running for the launch of the game on April 17.
Creators CD Projekt RED stated that the new Enhanced Edition of the game will be “the richest version of the game up to date with two additional major quests, a new intro and outro, many never seen before cut-scenes and many more improvements. The patch contains also all the pervious DLCs and upgrades – including the arcade arena mode and an extensive tutorial system.”
The best news for fans that have previously completed the game is that the Enhanced Edition adds around 4 hours of new gameplay and an additional 35 minutes of new cutscenes and cinematics.
At the moment there is no pre-load program up and running for those who purchased the game on Steam, but the moment we hear of it going live we will let you know.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings – The Enhanced Edition is due for release on April 17 for both the PC and Xbox 360.
