CD Projekt RED's enormously popular RPG title The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt landed on the Nintendo Switch late last year, letting fans experience Geralt's complete journey while on the go. Today, that release received a new update, and it delivers quite a few new features, including the ability to share saves with the PC version of the title.
Both the Steam and GOG versions of the game are compatible with this new feature. After updating to the new 3.6 version on the Switch and linking the game over to a PC variant, cloud saves from both platforms will be available no matter which device is being used, letting users pick up where they left off either on PC or Switch.
However, the developer warned that when transferring save files from PC, any modded elements that get carried over could cause bugs or block the transfer entirely. Save files with changed names on PC also won't get picked up by the Switch when looking for cloud saves.
Elsewhere in the update, touch controls have also been added, which should help with all the Gwent battles that Geralt goes through in the game as well as when looking through the map. Additional graphics options for customizing anti-aliasing, depth of field, sharpening, bloom, chromatic aberration, and other settings have arrived as well, all alongside performance optimizations and bug fixes.
The 3.6 Update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition for the Nintendo Switch should now be available for download worldwide.
