While initially, CD Projekt Red had said it would not be releasing an enhanced version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the PlayStation 4 Pro, citing that the studio was busy working on Gwent and Cyberpunk 2077, now the company seems to have taken a u-turn on the decision with the Xbox One X's launch.
At Microsoft's E3 conference, the acclaimed RPG appeared alongside other titles such as Rocket League, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Dishonored 2 as games that will implement 4K UHD compatibility and other enhancements for free on the Xbox One X console.
Replying to a fan on Twitter who inquired if the PlayStation 4 Pro will also receive an update akin to the Xbox One X, the company's community lead Marcin Momot confirmed that the studio is working on 'something' for the enhanced Sony console as well, adding that "More info to come later".
A new Netflix series based on the Witcher saga is also in development, using the original books as a source. CD Projekt Red was recently threatened with the release of stolen materials by individuals that had files pertaining to the upcoming RPG by the studio, Cyberpunk 2077. The studio announced that it would not comply with the demands made by the thieves.
