The X-Files was a huge show back in the 1990s that offered a great bit of storytelling, anchored by a great cast that included the show's stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The show ended its nine-season run in 2001 but was resurrected in 2016 with a short six-episode season. While we are still couple months off from the premiere of the next season of the series in January, it looks like a new game is coming to mobile and also Facebook to complement the show.
The X-Files: Deep State is a mystery puzzle game that will arrive in February. From the looks of it, you'll be diving into the world of The X-Files, investigating paranormal activities, much like what happens in the TV show. The studio behind the project, FoxNext Games, has promised that there will be appearances by some of the shows favorite characters in the game.
Perhaps what makes this game interesting is that there will be new cases to solve on a monthly basis, meaning that you'll have plenty to come back to once you finish the game. Again, Deep State will be available on iOS, Android, and Facebook. It will be free-to-play but will also include in-game purchases.
