Xbox has had a rough start in 2017 as the much-awaited release, Scalebound, was cancelled by Microsoft early last week. This week, however, brings a welcome change for fans of the console as several games are slated to release on Xbox One in the next few days starting tomorrow.
The list of games is rather wide-ranging:
January 17
RWBY: Grimm Eclipse
A character-driven adventure game that allows you to explore new storylines, new Grimm types, and a new villain. The hack-n-slash game is based upon Rooster Teeth’s international hit series RWBY.
Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle
According to Namco, this game is "a creative and modern re-imaging of the classic multiplayer beat-em-up genre". Each level of the game is based on an episode from the classic kids' TV show with familiar dialogue, cut scenes and villains.
This game offers a real-time strategy (RTS) single player campaign, in addition to providing both turn-based and RTS options for the multiplayer mode. The objective of the game is "to build a fortress in a branching structure with specialized towers connected with lofty indestructible walls".
January 20
I am Bread
A rather unusual game where you embark on a journey to become a toast. Literally. A bread simulator game that allows you into the world of sentient breads as they traverse through a therapist's office.
A game on infographics that directly reacts to your actions. The bar graphs and piecharts of this world expect you to explore, experiment and think outside of the box.
An immersive first-person interactive game that challenges your morality as you make conflicting decisions in a secret organization. You play as two contrasting individuals making decisions, facing trials, and investigating the Assembly’s secret bunker.
A 2D 'Metroidvania' platformer where you play as Ikki, a fierce cat who must save the kingdom of Iripur from the evil Morodir. Ikki, or the great huntress of Un’Amak, has many special skills and weapons- including twin swords, bows- that help her overcome obstacles and foes.
It is a side-scrolling puzzle platformer with black silhouette graphics. Its gameplay resembles games like Limbo, and Badlands. You control Toby, guiding him through various environments such as forests, caves, a mine, blizzard etc. With your presence of mind, you must solve puzzles and avoid traps along the path,
Spheroids
Play as Lucas, a Canadian boy, on an adventure with his scientist companion Otto. The story is set in the Cube world, which is under the threat of bring turned round by aliens: Spheroids and Lucas must fight them.
