Samsung is expected to announce its next flagship, the Galaxy Note9, at an event early next month, and speculation around the device has been bubbling for a few weeks. Now, famed leaker Evan Blass may have just given us the first look at the official colors for the Note9 when it launches.
The information comes from a tweet showing off three color variants of the upcoming smartphone from Samsung: Black, Blue, and Brown. The tweet doesn't provide details regarding whether or not these will be the only colors available at launch, however.
Notably absent from the lineup is the Lilac Purple variant which we got a glimpse of just last week, though that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't coming.
Perhaps most interesting about the images provided is the fact that the S Pen - specifically for the blue model - isn't the same color as the smartphone itself. Previous iterations of the Note series have featured the same color for both, but Samsung seems to have opted for a highly contrasting yellow stylus for the blue model of the smartphone. It will be interesting to see if the company does something similar for other color variations.
Aside from the colors shown off in the picture, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot that we haven't seen before, with a dual-camera setup on the rear of the phone as well as a small fingerprint sensor below it. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 should be announced on August 9, and it could come in the company of a Galaxy Watch as well as a Bixby-powered smart speaker.
