This week is pretty busy for new game releases including new sequels to two well established game franchises, a new game co-created by the man behind the Resident Evil series and more.
This week brings us Dungeon Siege III, the latest game in the fantasy action-RPG series. The game's creator and original developer, Gas Powered Games, has passed the touch to Obsidian Entertainment for this third outing which is also getting a new publisher in Square Enix for the PC, Xbox 360 and PC platforms. The game takes us back to the fantasy world of Ehb and features support for co-op play for up to four players.
Also due out this week is F.E.A.R. 3, the third game in the first person shooter horror series. Like Dungeon Siege III, F.E.A.R. 3 is also being developed by a new team at Day 1 Studios, taking over from its original developer Monolith. The PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 title from publisher Warner Brothers Interactive continues the creepy story centered around the "girl' Alma and features co-op play with two very different player characters.
The creator of the Resident Evil series, Shinji Mikami, has teamed up with Goichi Suda, the creator of the No More Heroes series, on an all new survival horror action game Shadows of the Damned. The game is being released via Electronic Arts for the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles this week.
Also out this week is Gods and Heroes, an Greek mythology based MMO for the PC that's been several years in the making. Xbox Live Arcade users can look forward to Trenched, a action-tower defense game from developer Double Fine.
