Three more games are coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today

Earlier today, Microsoft announced next month's Games with Gold, which offers four free games per month to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. You might have noticed, however, that the two Xbox 360 games weren't on the Backward Compatibility list.

That is being remedied now, as Assassin's Creed Revelations and Darksiders are both now included in Backward Compatibility, along with Darksiders II. Here are the three new additions:

Assassin's Creed Revelations ($19.99)

When a man’s battles have been won and his enemies destroyed, what then? Where does he find purpose and meaning? To find answers to these questions, Ezio Auditore will travel east in search of the lost library of the Assassins. In Assassin’s Creed® Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary mentor Altair, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region. In addition to Ezio’s award-winning story, a refined and expanded online multiplayer experience returns with more modes, more maps and more characters, allowing you to test your assassin skills against others from around the world.

Darksiders ($19.99)

The Horseman cometh. You are WAR! Caught in an epic struggle between Heaven and Hell, the legendary Horseman is left with only one option- to fight his way out. Wielding the fearsome sword Chaoseater, War must carve a bloody trail through Angels and Demons alike to uncover a dangerous truth...one that may bring about the end of mankind. EXPLORE the streets of a hell-ravaged city or ascend crumbling buildings to face horrors in the sky above. CONQUER Hell’s most terrifying monstrosities using a host of supernatural abilities and devastating combat moves. DESTROY your enemies by unleashing the unstoppable power of your Chaos Form! Darksiders. HEADS. WILL. ROLL.

Darksiders II ($19.99)

Awakened by the End of Days, Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen embarks on a quest to redeem his brother's name. Become the terrifying force which everything fears but nothing can escape.

Remember, the former two of these three games might cost $19.99, but they're going to be available for free next month, so if you can wait, you should. It's also not too late to grab some of this month's Games with Gold; Layers of Fear (Xbox One) and Heavy Weapon (Xbox 360) are available until the end of the month, and Evolve Ultimate Edition (Xbox One) is available until April 15.

You'll also be able to gain access to over 100 games with Xbox Game Pass, which will be available this spring. If you're on the Preview Alpha ring of the Xbox Insider Program, however, you can try it out for free until April 7.
