One of the key features of TikTok is the ability to respond to comments with a video rather than a text in order to give a more detailed response. This has increasingly become a major part of the users' experience on the platform, and TikTok is now giving creators a more direct method to engage fans.
The video app has confirmed that it is testing a new Q&A feature for creators. Much like the “reply to comments with video” capability, the experimental feature provides a direct way of responding to comments in either a text or video format. Social media consultant Matt Navarra first spotted the feature and shared some screenshots on Twitter.

Creators can add Q&A button to profile allowing followers to leave questions which they can answer via video replies or in a livestream

You can have your comments designated as questions by tapping on the Q&A button found next to the emoji icon in the comment field, assuming the feature is available to you. If you want to submit a question directly to creators, you can also hit the Q&A link found on their profile page. All of these questions will then be gathered in a single place where they're easily visible to the creator.
Creators can receive as many questions as users like to submit. For now, this feature is available to a few users including the creators from TikTok’s Creative Learning Fund program and those who have public Creator Accounts with more than 10,000 followers, provided they opt in to the feature within their Settings.
The testing is live globally, with plans to release it to more Creator Accounts in the coming weeks. Q&A is available both on videos and live streams.
