Every time you type WWW into a browser you use Tim Berners-Lee's simple but world changing idea. While working at CERN, the European particle physics lab, in 1989, he invented the world wide web. He also designed the first web browser in 1990. We tracked him down and spoke to him about the web's beginnings, and asked him if it had evolved the way he'd expected.
