Microsoft's Games with Gold program brings two additional free games to Xbox Live Gold members today. As the company announced last month, the two new titles available now are Ubisoft's platform-racer Trials Fusion for Xbox One, and the Volition developed third-person shooter, Red Faction: Armageddon. The latter is also accessible on Xbox One consoles through backward compatibility.
The store links for the games listed above are as follows:
Trials Fusion (Xbox One, August 16 - September 15)
Built upon the Trials franchise’s proven gameplay foundations, Trials Fusion challenges players endlessly in both classic and all-new ways. It melds the classic, proven Trials formula of simple yet addictive competition with the social and visual breakthroughs of the next generation of gaming.
Red Faction: Armageddon (Xbox 360, August 16 - 31)
Mankind finds itself poised on the brink of extinction deep underground. Darius Mason is humanity’s last hope for survival.
Meanwhile, Slime Rancher from the previous Games with Gold promotion is still available for grabs for Xbox One owners who missed out on it. Keep in mind that only claimed Xbox 360 games will remain playable if the Gold subscription is discontinued, unlike claimed Xbox One games, which are only accessible with an active subscription.
In addition to the free games, plenty of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are discounted this week on Microsoft's Deals with Gold. Some highlights include heavy discounts for Mass Effect: Andromeda, For Honor, and Fallout 4 DLC.
