It was only a few months ago that Sega and Two Point Studios announced a May launch for the upcoming management sim Two Point Campus, but unfortunately, fans will be waiting a little while longer. The studio today revealed it needs more time to make sure the quality is up to par, and gave the title a new August 9 launch date.
"Our ambition from the start has been to release Two Point Campus across all PC and console platforms simultaneously to the quality and standard that our community expects from us. This means we will need a little bit more time with Two Point Campus to make sure we deliver the best possible game that can be enjoyed equally on all platforms," said Two Point Studios game director Mark Webley. "We will use these additional three months to optimise Two Point Campus for all platforms."
The studio also shared a new video with new footage from the game and comments from the development team regarding its vision for the game, catch it below.
Set in the same universe as the studio's previous game, Two Point Hospital, players will be attempting to educate the quirky residents of Two Point County instead of healing them this time. In addition to building universities and taking care of students and staff, the title also offers access to academic routes with humorous twists like Knight School, Archaeology, and Gastronomy.
Two Point Campus is launching across PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch. It will also be a day-one Xbox Game Pass drop. While a longer wait is now attached to this project, Two Point Hospital continues to receive new content too. Last month saw the addition of ambulances to the title with the Speedy Recovery expansion.
