HTC has only just started accepting pre-orders for its upcoming U Ultra flagship smartphone, with units scheduled to start shipping on March 1st. However, that hasn't stopped a version of Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) from being ported to the device in beta form and being given some exposure by HTC's Jeff Gordon on Twitter.
Great news for the modders out there. https://t.co/m9oAuOIQwY

Developed by Captain_Throwback, the most recent but unofficial version of TWRP for the HTC U Ultra currently stands at 3.0.3-1. However, while nobody will be rushing to install TWRP on their U Ultra handset for at least another week and a half, there is one known issue impacting the ability to reboot into recovery mode. Until kernel source becomes available, users will only be able to reboot the device.
Instructions on how to install TWRP on the HTC U Ultra as well as FAQs and links to download the utility can be found over in the thread on XDA Developers.
