Ubisoft originally announced a reboot for its long running The Settlers series back in 2018, but the game suffered multiple delays, further pushing back its yearly launch windows. In January this year, Ubisoft finally gave a fresh look at the reboot, presented a beta, and announced a March 17 launch date. However, that is now also a missed window, as Ubisoft just delayed the game again, this time indefinitely.
In a statement shared on Twitter, The Settlers development team at Ubisoft Düsseldorf (formerly known as Blue Byte) thanked fans for their participation in the beta and revealed the latest delay decision.
"As we went through this feedback, it became clear to our team that the quality wasn't yet in line with the team's vision," the studio said. "Therefore, we took the decision to postpone the launch of the game to a later date."

There's no new launch date attached to the reboot project as of now, with more information coming later regarding "the next milestone for The Settlers". The team added it will be using the extra time from the delay to improve the game and "push quality as our main priority for all our players."
