UPDATE: First it was Kazaa..now Netscape?!

Thanks to our field reporter Jason for this scoop!

There seems to be a folder at ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape6/english called 6.2.2_bdp. Could this mean Brilliant Digital Projector? If AOL decides to include this in their distribution with Netscape 6.2.2 does this also mean that it will be another application that installs b3d's "backdoor p2p network" without the user knowing?

AOL has already made Netscape 6 a distribution of marketing instead of a browser with Winamp, RealPlayer, AIM, and more being installed by default...

At the time of reporting a representative of Netscape was unavailable for comment.

UPDATE: Ok Ok, credit where credit is due.. I did some additional digging around at Netscape.com and came across this (eheh) it's called Browser Distribution Program The Netscape Browser Distribution Program offers partners a full suite of program tools, services, and information to customize and distribute the Netscape Browser. So that folder is almost certainly called bdp because of this title, not the spyware (we hope)
