I thought this was worth a mention.. While trying to figure out why all CD-burning features are disabled in my copy of Windows XP Home Edition for no reason at all (I didn't disable it) I know it used to work in RC1 and RC2 previews and my CDR/RW (Sony CRX140E) is listed as a HCL compliant device. I stumbled on to a new feature within Help & Support Center, You now get the option to chat with a Microsoft representative, this could be a sign that 1.) They have too many Support documents and want to try and scale down the reporting of them or 2.) They have too much time on their hands. LOL
So if anyone is experiencing problems with XP not doing what it should do, you may find that you can get an MS pro on the "chat" to help you solve it! My problem is not sorted yet, but I'll let y'all know when it is.

Thankyou! Timble I followed your instructions and CD-burning is back! I also un-installed the hot-fix since it did not apply to me (my burner is supported) Thankyou so much. Well, well... I don't need MS Support, I just need Neowin.. right here, thanks guys!
