During the PC Gaming Show at E3 Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 gameplay was shown off for the first time since its announcement back in March. See the trailer featuring pre-alpha gameplay above, an extended version of what was shown off during the E3 show.
The trailer starts off with a voice-over that's explaining the ins and outs of being a vampire in the RPG to, who we assume, the fledgling Thinblood that players will be starting the game as. Then we see a questline where players are trying to gain an ally in this world of darkness by hunting down a Thinblood named Slugg, showcasing melee combat and vampire powers.
We also see a glimpse of the choices players can make at the end of this quest, where they can let Slugg go free, get him back without violence using coercion, or simply killing him outright.
This sequel to the now 15 year old original cult classic is being developed by Hardsuit Labs, who is taking the series to modern-day Seattle. The game still sports a Q1 2020 release window, and it will be coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The PC version will be released through Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store simultaneously.
