Microsoft has been hard at work delivering firmware updates today. First, they announced that new firmware would be coming to the Lumia 830, 950, 950 XL, and LG Lancet. Now, it's time for the Microsoft Lumia 735 to get some new firmware.
While updates for Windows phones on Verizon's network are extremely rare (especially small ones), Microsoft delivered one today. The update contains one new feature:
- Activate Advanced Calling directly on the device.
Advanced Calling is Verizon's brand of HD Voice calling, so now your calls will sound better and you'll have the ability to turn the feature on and off. To do so, go to Settings -> Cellular + SIM -> SIM Settings -> Advanced Calling.
The update likely includes bug fixes and performance improvements as well.
