BlackBerry opened pre-orders for its first Android handset, the Priv, back in October, priced at $750 unlocked, and it went on sale in the US with AT&T in early November before making its way to T-Mobile in January too. Verizon said in November that the Priv was "coming soon" to its network - but it's taken almost four months for the carrier to finally launch the device.
Now, the wait is finally over and customers on Verizon can, at long last, get their hands on the Priv. The carrier has given the handset a full retail price of $720, but it can also be purchased for $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $30.
The Priv has a distinctive design, featuring a 5.4-inch dual-curved display - similar to Samsung's Galaxy edge handsets - with Quad HD (2560x1440px) resolution, along with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Other key specs include a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 18-megapixel rear camera and 3410mAh battery.
