Back in May, Microsoft announced that it would be rebranding Windows App Studio to Windows Template Studio, in the process also making easier for developers to create apps for the firm's Universal Windows Platform. The Visual Studio add-on has now gotten a slew of new features in its 1.1 update.
According to the a blog post on the Windows Developer Blog, the new version has been created as a result of feedback gathered from the community, with a short list of what's new being as follows:

A full list of fixes and improvements can be found at the add-on's official GitHub page.
Future features that are currently being worked on include support for Fluent Design in templates, as well as localization in both the wizard and templates, plus Project Rome features.
If you have the add-on installed, Visual Studio should automatically update it, though a manual push can also be done in Tools->Extensions and Updates, if necessary. On the off chance that you do not have it installed, Windows Template Studio can be obtained from the Visual Studio Marketplace.
