Video Game Festival at Mall of America to Host $1,000 Console Championships Sponsored by Midway, Atlus Games and Sega of America
Video gamers young and old alike will enter video game heaven at the Mall of America on the weekend of July 12-14, as the 2nd Annual Twin Galaxies' Video Game Festival turns the Sam Goody Center into a 5,000 square-foot video game arcade.
Now in its 2nd year, the Festival is a three-day celebration of the greatest games and gaming systems produced in the last twenty years, from the legendary Pac-Man arcade game of the early 80s to today's hot new Playstation 2 and X-box game titles.
The public is invited and everything is on free play -- plus, there is no admission charge.
Created by the editors of the Official Video Game & Pinball Book of World Records, the Festival will give the public a chance to play great new home game titles even before they hit the stores.
Big contests on brand new games like Midway's MLB Slugfest 20-03, Atlus' SkyGunner, Sega's Crazy Taxi 3 and Midway's Red Card Soccer 20-03 will give top video gamers the chance to take home cash prizes and fun souvenirs.
