Vivo unveiled its NEX handsets on June 12 that featured a motorized pop-up camera. Despite it currently only being offered in Shanghai, the company is taking steps to make it available to more people, by expanding it to several new regions.
According to Vivo, the NEXs will arrive to five new markets by the end of July. The handset will be available to those in Russia, India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. For those that are unfamiliar, there are two variants of the NEX, the NEX S and the NEX A.
Both of the handsets offer the motorized pop-up camera but the NEX S offers a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, with a 4,000mAh battery. The NEX S is the only model that will also have the in-display fingerprint reader. The NEX A is powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB RAM, and will also have a 4,000mAh battery. The NEX A will not have an in-display fingerprint reader and will have one on the rear like a traditional smartphone.
While there isn't long to wait for the release to the new regions, pricing has not been revealed.
