Vivo V15 Pro debuts with 32MP pop-up front camera and native digital assistant Jovi

Vivo has been flexing its muscles on the innovation front lately with the recent announcement of its minimalist, "albeit "futuristic", APEX concept phone last month and the dual-display edition of its NEX flagship device in December 2018. Now, the Chinese company is bringing some of the high-end specs it unveiled lately to its latest mid-range offering for this year.

The company has announced today the Vivo V15 Pro with a 32MP pop-up selfie camera first seen on the NEX series. Of course, the front camera design is Vivo's answer to the full-display trend and the company noted that the V15 Pro has a 91.64% screen-to-body ratio owing to it. The smartphone sports a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED Ultra FullView display.

Vivo slapped artificial intelligence branding all over the rear optics department of its latest device, but it all boils down to the AI triple camera featuring a 48MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle lens, and 5MP depth sensor. However, the main camera also shoots 12MP photos essentially by unifying four pixels. Camera features include night mode and an "AI Body Shaping" tool for applying digital transformations to certain parts of a body like the waist and legs.
