Vodafone UK has announced that it will give small businesses free broadband for 12 months to help them throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement follows the publication of research from Enterprise Nation which shows that small businesses running entirely online during the crisis jumped from 27% to 55%.
While you’ll get 12 months free if you take up the offer, Vodafone is only making it available on a 36-month contract so you will end up paying for usage in 2022 and 2023. Additionally, the offer is only available to businesses that have 1 – 50 employees and ends on 28 February 2021. Existing Vodafone customers, as well as new customers, are able to jump on the new contracts.
Commenting on the offer, Vodafone UK’s Business Director Anne Sheehan said:
“The message to small businesses is clear: we’re here to help. Businesses need to be running as efficiently as possible in 2021 – that means getting online, using the best digital tools, getting the best business advice, and spending as little money as possible. It’s great to see how businesses adapted throughout last year, and we’re here to help more do the same in 2021.”
