Vonage releases Wi-Fi VOIP phone

After teasing us with pictures and
brief descriptions earlier this year, Vonage has released its Wi-Fi
VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone. Looking much like a cell phone, the
UTStarcom F1000 Wi-Fi phone is a pocket sized VOIP phone that uses Vonage
service by connecting to most public Wi-FI hotspots. The F1000
operates much like your Wi-Fi network adapter in your laptop or PDA. By
connecting to a wireless network such as those found in many hotels, coffee
shops, and restaurants, you can use the phone just as if you were at home and
at no additional charge.
For a limited time Vonage is offering an instant $50.00 rebate which lowers the cost of the phone from $129.99 to $79.99.
