A couple of weeks ago, Digital Extremes announced that its current-gen shooting title Warframe would be making its way to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Prior to this, the free-to-play video game was available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.
Up until now, the Canadian video game maker had yet to share a concrete release date for the next-gen release of Warframe. This changed today when Sheldon Carter, COO of Digital Extremes, shared the release information on the PlayStation blog. He revealed that the third-person shooting game will be launching on Sony's next-gen console this very week, on November 26.
Carter also stated that PS5 users will get to play Warframe at 4K and a frame rate of 60fps. The game will also support cross-generation play for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players. It is going to feature a new open world called The Duviri Paradox and also a new chapter continuing the story of the game titled The New War.
Those who are interested in acquiring their free copy of Warframe may do so by visiting the PlayStation Store on their PS5 consoles.
