Warhammer: Vermintide and Child of Eden are now free with Games with Gold

Microsoft has one more month of free games to give away to its Xbox Live Gold members before we step into 2018. Just as previously announced, the beginning of December brings along the four-player cooperative title Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide for Xbox One, and the rhythm-based action game Child of Eden for Xbox 360 as part of the Games with Gold program. Xbox One owners can grab the latter game as well thanks to backward compatibility.

The two titles can be claimed right now via their store links listed below:

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide (Xbox One, December 1 - 31)

The world is ending... though few believe it.

The once proud city of Ubersreik now stands in ruin at the hands of the dreaded Skaven army. Few have survived their ruthless invasion.

Team up with 3 friends and work together to thin out the ratmen’s forces and drive them out of the city. Assume the role of one of five heroes, and hack, slash, smash, burn and pierce the vile Skaven using a multitude of weapons. Fight your way through the city of Ubersreik, from the top of the Magnus Tower to the bowels of the Under Empire.

This is our last stand and only you can stem the Vermintide.

Child of Eden (Xbox 360, December 1 - 15)

One of the most anticipated games of 2011 for Kinect. Winner of 9 awards at E3 for innovative graphics, music, and gameplay. Child of Eden is the “multi-sensory shooter” that will send players diving into a visual matrix of synchronized music and mind-blowing visuals. It will usher forth yet another landmark game experience from the mind of renowned game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

Telltale's Tales from the Borderlands from the November Games with Gold promotion is still free for Xbox One users who missed out on it, with it scheduled to be replaced on December 16 by Back to the Future: The Game.

Note that only claimed Xbox 360 games will remain playable if the Gold subscription is discontinued, unlike claimed Xbox One games, which are only accessible with an active subscription.

Microsoft is also adding seven additional games to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service today, bringing hits such as Gears of War 4, Mass Effect, and Darksiders: Warmastered Edition for all subscribers.
