Wasteland 2 is free to claim on GOG as the store's winter sale rolls in

The DRM-free game store GOG is back with another major sale, winter this time, and to celebrate, there is a giveaway happening for Wasteland 2 Director's Cut Digital Classic Edition. The game is completely free to claim for the next two days, ending December 13 at 2PM UTC.

The post-apocalyptic RPG doesn't come alone, however, as the original Wasteland 1 is included as a bonus, meaning this giveaway gets you two games. With a sequel slated to land in May next year, this is a good opportunity to catch up on the highly regarded RPG series without needing to put down any cash.

As for the GOG Winter Sale, there are over 2500 games discounted, and it is slated to run until January 2, 2020. Some highlights include GreedFall for 25% off, Vampyr with a 65% discount, and a 70% off sale for Darkest Dungeon. Meanwhile, the Ultimate RED Collection that comes with a pre-order of Cyberpunk 2077 plus all the Witcher games for $87.77.

New games have been added to the GOG Connect section as well, which gives users DRM-free GOG store copies of select games they own on Steam. Currently, DUSK, Age of Wonders: Planetfall, Through the Ages, and Galaxy Trucker are available through the service.

Moreover, GOG's optional Galaxy 2.0 launcher released into open beta earlier this week, letting anyone join in and try out the hub-type launcher.
