Microsoft's Xbox press conference at this year's Gamescom expo in Cologne, Germany, will take place at 4 p.m. local time (10 a.m. eastern U.S. time), but for the massive majority of those who can't attend, the event is being streamed live on YouTube and Microsoft platforms.
In addition to the YouTube stream, seen above, the Microsoft press conference can be seen live on Xbox 360, Xbox One or Xbox.com. Several major Xbox-exclusive games not shown at the company's E3 press conference in June will be shown, including "Quantum Break," "Scalebound," the next entry in the Crackdown franchise and more. Additionally, new looks at upcoming exclusive games such as "Halo 5: Guardians" and "Rise of the Tomb Raider" are also expected.
In a recent interview with The Verge, Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft's Xbox unit, said "you'll hear more from us soon" about Xbox One's TV and non-gaming entertainment capabilities, possibly indicating an appearance at Gamescom. More information about the upcoming Windows 10 overhaul of the console's operating system is also possible.
