Waze now streamlines your trip planning experience across the desktop and mobile

Waze has pushed a new update that unifies the way you plan your trip across its platforms. The navigation service today announced a new feature that allows you to plan your drive using its Live Map tool on a desktop browser and save it to your phone.

Now, when you log in to Live Map on desktop using the QR code, there's a new “Save to app" button that appears as you set your starting point and destination as well as your time of arrival. Waze will then sync that information with its mobile app installed on your phone.

In addition, the Google-owned mapping app will now notify you about real-time road conditions in order to help you decide when exactly to head out. For example, it will send you a push notification about heavy traffic or ongoing road work, provided you have enabled the notifications.

You can also avoid entering your home address over again when planning a trip. Waze now lets you view your saved locations on the web and pick them when searching for a starting point or destination. The new features are available on iOS and Android from today.
