The first weekend of August has arrived and with it comes a new batch of downloadable PC game sales for anyone (well, most anyone) to check out. This weekend, to celebrate the annual QuakeCon event in Dallas, Bethesda Softworks has slashed the price on all of id Software's games, as well as games Bethesda has either published or developed, this weekend on Steam.
The sales include a special QuakeCon bundle which has over 40 games and expansion packs sold together for just $99.99. People who pre-order the upcoming game Dishonored during the sales period will receive Arx Fatalis for free and an additional discount on the QuakeCon bundle.
GoG.com has also put a number of games on sale this weekend. 11 titles from publisher Topware have a 50 percent price cut. GameStop also has plenty of PC game sales to choose from, including Quantum Conundrum for half off and Supreme Commander 2 for a mere $4.99.
GamersGate's list of game sales this weekend include Risen for just $4.99 and Mafia II for a mere $8.98. If you happen to live in Europe, Square Enix has also put a number of its downloadable PC games on sale for 50 percent off this weekend.
