Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.
Game bundles that offer only a single game are rare, but that's exactly what Humble has put forth this week with the Humble Europa Universalis IV Bundle. The twist is that along with the base game, you can choose to pick up tiers with a variety of add-ons to flesh out the grand strategy experience.
The $1 tier is what gets you Europa Universalis IV base game, along with Art of War, Wealth of Nations, American Dream, and Res Publica DLC. Hitting the Pay More Than Average tier (currently around $10) will get you the Rights of Man, Mare Nostrum, The Cossacks, El Dorado, and Common Sense DLC packs.
Finally, the $17 third tier has six more DLC included, adding on Cradle of Civilization, Dharma, Third Rome, Mandate of Heaven, as well as a couple of Immersion Packs.
Even with the 17 add-on packs this bundle offers, it isn't going to give you all of the available DLC content of the title. Still, the second tier is not a bad place to start if you're keen on jumping into the grand strategy game.
The Epic Games Store giveaways aren't stopping anytime soon, and right on schedule there is another game to grab this week. Arriving as a replacement for Horace is The Bridge.
The newly free game is an award-winning indie that released in 2013. It is a logic puzzle game with art inspired by M. C. Escher. In every level you have to get to the exit by bending the laws of physics, like changing the direction of gravity.
The Bridge will be free to claim on the Epic Games Store until January 30, and arriving as the replacement free game on that day will be Farming Simulator 19.
Free Events
The free events section is going to be stacked for a couple of months from now on, as Valve has put its entire Half-Life games collection on it. From now until Half-Life: Alyx releases in March, you can play the entirety of the series for free on Steam, from the original Half-Life to Half-Life 2: Episode Two. Even the Opposing Force, Blue Shift, and Team Fortress Classic titles are included in this promotion.
As for the sole other game running a free weekend right now, you can jump into Dead by Daylight for a multiplayer horror experience, either being a survivor or the hunter.
