Weekend PC Game Deals: Load up on May the Fourth and Golden Week specials

Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place, every week, for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets.

This weekend we are beginning our feature with free weekend events since Epic's freebie is a premium pack for a free game and the bundle space has been oddly quiet as well.

Easily the biggest free event of the weekend is Titanfall 2. EA and Respawn are looking to push the fast-paced shooter's recent popularity jump even further, as the complete game is free to experience on Steam until May 3. You get access to the acclaimed title's single-player campaign as well as the PVP and co-op multiplayer elements.

If real-time strategy games are more your forte, Iron Harvest is also hosting a free weekend that offers you its dieselpunk military tactics game to try out. Joining it in the free event pile is Depth, the multiplayer atmospheric action game where you either take the role of a diver or a shark in team-based battles.

Lastly, fighting game fans with a soft spot for mechs have a game waiting for them as well, as Override 2: Super Mech League is free-to-play through the weekend.

Steam Golden Week Sale promo

Now going straight into our big deals, it is mostly about games by Japanese developers and Star Wars specials this weekend, a Steam store dominated one at that. As you will see, the Golden Week and May the Fourth deals have combined to provide a unique blend of sales. Find those and more below in our highlights:

DRM-free Goodness

Another May the Fourth-promoting sale is waiting for you at GOG, offering a classic dose of Star Wars and more in DRM-free form:

Keep in mind that availability and pricing for some deals could vary depending on the region.

That's it for our pick of this weekend's PC game deals, and hopefully, some of you have enough self-restraint not to keep adding to your ever-growing backlogs. As always, there's an enormous amount of other deals ready and waiting all over the interwebs as well as in services you may already subscribe to if you comb through them, so keep your eyes open for those, and have a great weekend.
