The ever elusive White iPhone is still in hiding, with Apple announcing earlier today that the iPhone would not be available until Spring 2011. This isn't the first delay, either. Apple announced back in July that the iPhone would be delayed until "later this year."
The original, black version of the iPhone was made available in June of this year, and Apple is hesitant to reveal any further details, except saying to Reuters; "We're sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone again."
When Reuters prompted Trudy Miller, a spokeswomen for Apple for further comment on why the delays are ongoing, she refused to comment.
Apple has had issues from square one with the new iPhone 4 devices, with the phone being "accidentally" left in a bar before the release, then the antennagate issues which plagued the devices, as well as many phones suffering from screen cracks. Despite the issues, the iPhone 4 has been a hit with Apple making record Q4 sales, with 14.1 million devices being shipped this quarter.
