Samsung has confirmed that it will manufacture a white version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. This new handset color will be available from Monday, February 13th at most leading retailers. This is one week before Samsung takes to MWC 2012 to unveil its next line of devices.
"After much speculation, we are pleased to announce the availability of the Galaxy Nexus White which follows the great reception the phone has received since it was launched back in November," said Simon Stanford, Samsung’s UK and Ireland head of the Telecommunications and Networks Division.
"One of the things we at Samsung pride ourselves on is the choice we offer customers, and we’ve enjoyed huge success to date by introducing white variants of our most popular models to our product portfolio." added Stanord.
The white model will be priced the same as the black model, which can be picked up on Amazon for £479 (16Gb model) while Vodafone, Three and O2 all offer the handset on various contract price-plans to suit users.
It is a little disappointing to see that the front cover is still black, it would have had more of an appeal if it were completely white like the Galaxy S II’s white model, but it’s better than nothing right?
