It's been 18 days since it was first moved to the Slow ring, but ISO images of Windows 10 for PCs build 16278 are now available. In fact, ISOs for Slow ring builds tend to show up at the same time as a new SDK Preview, but that wasn't the case when SDK Preview build 16278 was offered two weeks ago.
And 16278 isn't even the latest Slow ring build anymore. Last week, build 16288 was moved to the ring, so many understandably thought that Microsoft was just skipping over 16278 ISOs. After all, if you install one of today's images, the first thing that you'll have to do is upgrade to 16288, whether you choose the Slow or the Fast ring.
As always, there are a variety of builds to choose from:
- Windows 10 Insider Preview
- Windows 10 Insider Preview Enterprise
- Windows 10 Insider Preview Education
- Windows 10 Insider Preview Home Single Language
- Windows 10 Insider Preview Home China
Unfortunately, there are still no images for Windows 10 S. The only way to get that is to install it on your machine and go through Windows Insider Program settings.
The following downloads are also available:
Symbols MSI Insider Preview – Build 16278 32-bit / 64-bit
Features on Demand Pack Insider Preview (part 1) – Build 16278 32-bit / 64-bit
Features on Demand Pack Insider Preview (part 2) – Build 16278 32-bit / 64-bit
Language Pack Bundle Insider Preview – Build 16278
Inbox Apps Bundle Insider Preview – Build 16278
Naturally, we're still expecting 16288 ISOs to show up at some point, although there's no telling how long that will take. You can download all of those packages right here.
