Microsoft brought a bunch of improvements to the Xbox Game Bar on Windows 10 earlier this year, including new widgets, social features, and more. Further in regard to PC gaming, the tech giant also mentioned at this year's E3 that it has been building a new desktop experience which will be coming soon.
Now, Mike Ybarra, CVP of Xbox Gaming at Microsoft, has announced a new update for the Xbox Game Bar, bringing a couple of major features that plenty of users had been asking for. Specifically, these include a new frame rate counter, alongside an achievement overlay.

As you would expect, the frame rate counter displays the frames per second (FPS) for any particular game you may be running. This can also be customized from the Performance overlay section. On the other hand, the achievement overlay helps you keep track of your progress over time, showcasing what you have unlocked so far, and essentially signaling which ones you can try to go for next.
There's not much else that needs explaining regarding the usage of these features. You can download the latest update for Xbox Game Bar from the Microsoft Store to check them out.
