Microsoft has updated its Windows Device Recovery Tool to support Acer's Windows phones. Users of the Acer Jade Primo are only supported with a USB 2.0 port.
Specifically, the update adds support for the Acer Jade Primo, Liquid M220, and Liquid M330.
A move like this could often mean that the devices will soon be eligible for the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview - or as the Liquid M330's Store description calls it, Windows Phone 10.
It's interesting to see the Liquid M220 on the list, as it's a Windows Phone 8.1 device with 4GB of storage. The storage limitation means that it's never going to see Windows 10 Mobile, no matter what.
And then there's the Jade Primo, a device that's coveted by many. With a Snapdragon 808 chipset, USB Type-C, and Continuum support, it's probably the most notable Windows phone flagship on the market aside from Microsoft's latest Lumia 950 and 950 XL.
Nevertheless, if you own any of these three phones, you are now free to mess with them how you see fit, knowing that you can later restore the software.
