Windows Phone 8 will bring many new features to the platform including a highly customizable home screen. To customize the home screen even further than tile size and location, users will be able to select from a wide range of color options to match their live tiles to their personalities.
While Windows Phone 7 came with just a few options, it looks like Windows Phone 8 will come with an ever wider color pallet for you to select from. The image above is supposedly the color options that will be available when the platform launches in late October.
If true, Microsoft will allow users to select from a decent range of color options but we still wonder why there is not a true color wheel that allows you to select from any color. Microsoft may be holding this feature back for a later release or there could be some other unknown reason why we can't select any color we want, but at this time, we can't think of any valid reason for holding this feature back.
This upcoming week will be an exciting time for Windows Phone fans as Nokia's press event will kick-off later this week. Expected are several new devices from the vendor that will hopefully raise the bar when it comes to mobile phone standards and Neowin will be in NY to cover all the action.
